Huawei P50: The world's best camera phone is no longer available in the market

The Huawei company has stopped shipping the P50 series comprising of their P50, P50 Pro, and P50E models with Leica camera lens branding. As you can see, ever since the German-based camera company decided to ditch Huawei and partner with the Xiaomi brand, we expected something like this to happen. But now it seems, Huawei has completely delisted the P50 series from their global smartphone portfolio. However, no official explanation could be found as to the reason for such sudden delisting. Perhaps the Leica branding is also responsible for this.\

Huawei P50 smartphone series has been delisted globally due to unknown reasons

Huawei Central has stated in a latest report that the Huawei P50 series has been removed from the company's global smartphone portfolio. After that, searching for the devices under the said lineup on the company's site and stores, the text 'No results found' appears on the screen. Huawei has not revealed the reason why it has suddenly discontinued one of its popular smartphone series. Even if this delisting is temporary or permanent we cannot say for sure at the moment.

But we guess, the company may have taken this decision because of the Leica branding logo on the rear panel of the series. FYI, Huawei has been co-developing the cameras of all their flagship phones in partnership with Leica for the past 6 years. But in Halfil, the camera developer announced to end the agreement with Huawei and join hands with Xiaomi. As a result, shipping of the premium P50 smartphone lineup may have been suspended, indirectly signaling the end of the partnership.

It should be noted that Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50E smartphones with Leica logo were already discontinued. However, the camera hardware of the smartphone trio is not affected in any way due to this change. The high-end P50 Pro model still sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 40-megapixel B&W shooter with f/1.6 aperture, And there is a 64-megapixel telephoto rear camera with f/3.5 aperture.
