Xiaomi CIVI 2 to take on Oppo, Vivo, launches today with 32-megapixel selfie camera

Xiaomi last year launched the Xiaomi CIVI smartphone series in the Chinese market with stylish designs and fancy color options aimed at the young generation of female customers. This women-centric lineup includes the Xiaomi CIVI launched in September last year and the CIVI 1S model unveiled in April this year. And today (September 21) the company confirmed the arrival of Xiaomi CIVI 2. This brand-new handset is going to be launched in the Chinese market next week. 



Ahead of the launch, let's take a look at all the information that has surfaced so far about the Xiaomi CIVI 2.

Xiaomi CIVI 2 is coming to the Chinese market this month

Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi CV2 handset will be launched in China on September 27 at 2pm (local time). Apart from this, the company has also shared a teaser poster, which reveals that the CV2 will come with an attractive rear design as expected. Expectedly, Xiaomi will soon release some more promotional teasers to reveal the CV2's full design as well as some of its key features. However, the main specifications of this new handset have already been leaked through various reports and sources. Let's take a look at them.

Xiaomi CIVI 2 Expected Specifications

According to reports, the Xiaomi CV2 will sport a 6.56-inch OLED panel, offering Full-HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. In terms of display design, the phone will feature a curved edge display with a centered punch-hole cut-out. Xiaomi CV2 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Incidentally, the Snapdragon 778G chipset has been used in the Xiaomi CV, while the CV1S has the Snapdragon 778G Plus processor. The new CV model will get up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will run MIUI 13 (MIUI 13) custom skin based on Android 12.

For photography, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 will house a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel sensor. And there will be a 32 megapixel selfie camera in front of the phone. Finally for power backup, the Xiaomi CIVI 2 will come with a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 67W fast charging.
