Popular smartphone brand Oppo (Oppo) unveiled the latest version of Android 13 based user interface, ColorOS 13 in the market last August. And within weeks, the company started rolling out Beta versions of Android 13 to its flagship Find X5 and Find X5 Pro, giving users an early idea of what new features are coming in the future. And now, Oppo's sister-brand OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, 9R, and 9RT handsets will receive the ColorOS 13 Beta update in China next week. Let's know about it in detail.
ColorOS 13 Beta: Several OnePlus handsets will get the new update this time
According to a post on ColorOS China's official Weibo (Chinese microblogging site) handle, the Android 13 OS-based ColorOS 13 beta update will be rolled out to OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, as well as OnePlus 9R, and 9RT handsets on October 10. The post revealed the update plans for all the Oppo and OnePlus smartphones that are set to receive the ColorOS 13 update.
Notably, the OnePlus smartphones available in China run on Oppo's ColorOS user interface and the global variants are powered by OxygenOS. Although these skins are essentially the same, some claim that ColorOS provides a better user experience.
Notably, the ColorOS 13 update has brought a lot of features and updates. It offers an aquamorphic design and all the new features introduced by Google in Android 13. In addition, Oppo has added several special features like a shadow-reflective clock widget, an IoT device control module, media playback controls for the updated Control Center, a meeting assistant and several multitasking upgrades.
Note that ColorOS 13 supports larger folders, global search banners and new home screen widgets. Moreover, the company has updated its Always-On Display (AOD) functionality, which now allows users to control apps and access additional information without unlocking the phone.
