Vivo X90 Series launch timeline Revealing on October 24

The revolution is coming to the smartphone camera, Vivo's secret is taking a mega entry with the Vivo X90 series!

Vivo launched its first self-developed image signal processor or ISP chip in September last year, which debuted as the Vivo V1. This chip was first used in the flagship Vivo X70 series of smartphones. In April last year, the upgraded Vivo V1+ chip from the current generation X80 series was launched. And now Vivo has officially announced that they are going to organize their Imaging Strategy Conference on October 24. The Vivo V2 image signal processor chip is likely to be unveiled at this event. This upcoming ISP is rumored to be included in the next-gen Vivo X90 lineup of smartphones, which is likely to launch in December. Let's know about it in detail.

Vivo V2 ISP may be unveiled next week

Vivo's Chinese branch has recently released a teaser confirming that their Imaging Strategy conference will be held on October 24. And it is expected that the screen will be removed from the new Vivo V2 image signal processor at this event. It has long been speculated that this new chip will be used in Vivo's upcoming X90 flagship series of devices. Incidentally, the launch date of the Vivo X90 series may also be officially announced or hinted at at this event.

Notably, the upcoming X90 lineup may include three devices – Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro Plus. These handsets will come as successors to the highly acclaimed Vivo X80 series. The latest Vivo X-lineup phones, which debuted last April, have been widely appreciated among consumers for their excellent camera performance, which is largely made possible by the Vivo V1Plus ISP chip. After the launch in China, the X90 series is also expected to enter the global market to compete with flagships like the iPhone 14 series, Pixel 7 series, the upcoming Xiaomi 13 series and the Oppo Find X6 series.

Although, currently not much is known about the Vivo X90 series, however, it is almost certain that this series of devices will be powered by the latest Qualcomm/MediaTek flagship chipset. These processors are the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimension 9200.

Notably, the top-end Vivo X90 Pro Plus is expected to feature a Dimension 9200 chipset, a 1-inch camera sensor with an ultra-wide lens, a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and a V2 ISP chip. It is also reported that the X90 Pro Plus will come with a curved AMOLED LTPO display with Quad HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. And for power backup, this flagship phone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
